Orbit Solutions to Simplify Injection and Exploration

Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV) & Hosted Payload Platform

OVERVIEW

OSSIE (Orbit Solutions to Simplfy Inejction and Exploration) is our next-generation Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV) designed to deliver precise in-space mobility, multi-orbit deployment, and hosting capabilities for modern space missions. Engineered on a strictly modular architecture, OSSIE breaks away from fixed satellite bus limitations: its power systems scale by adding modular solar arrays, while its propulsion and delta-V budget expand seamlessly with scalable propellant tanks.

OSSIE serves as the ultimate showcase of our vertical integration. It natively incorporates our complete flight-proven product ecosystem, including the PANDORA Avionics Box, SERENA deployment sequencers, and our full family of qualified deployment mechanisms, from picosatellite dispensers (Pockettino) and CubeSat deployers (RAMI) to heavy separation rings (SAU&RON family).

Whether you need last-mile delivery to a custom orbit or a reliable bus to host your technology demonstration, OSSIE handles the complex space infrastructure so you can focus entirely on your core payload expertise.

Why Deploy with an OTV?
  • Targeted Orbit Insertion (Last-Mile Delivery):
Eliminate the compromises of standard rideshare launches. OSSIE receives payloads in primary drop-off orbits and uses its active propulsion system to execute orbit raising, inclination changes, and phasing maneuvers, delivering your spacecraft precisely where your mission demands.
  • Multi-Orbit Deployment:
OSSIE can deploy multiple payloads into different orbits during a single mission. Its modular design allows for the integration of multiple deployment mechanisms, enabling simultaneous or sequential releases of CubeSats, microsatellites, and other payloads into their respective target orbits.
  • Hosted Payload Capability:
OSSIE can serve as a platform for hosted payloads, providing power, communication, and data handling support. This capability allows for technology demonstrations, scientific experiments, or commercial payloads to operate from OSSIE's bus while it performs its primary mission.
  • Massive Cost & Timeline Reduction:
By leveraging OSSIE's capabilities, mission planners can reduce the need for multiple dedicated launches, saving both time and money. OSSIE's ability to deploy multiple payloads into different orbits in a single mission reduces the overall launch costs and accelerates the timeline for getting payloads operational in space.
  • Dispersion & Constellation Phasing:
OSSIE can perform precise phasing maneuvers to deploy payloads into specific positions within a constellation. This capability is crucial for satellite constellations that require precise spacing and timing for optimal operation.
